Twitter Is Adding a Pay-Per-Article Option

Twitter plans to add a pay-per-article feature, one that would give publishers another monetization option.

CEO Elon Musk tweeted about the new feature:

As Musk says, the new feature could be a “win-win” for all parties. Users often want or need to access information in a single article but don’t want to pay — and then worry about canceling — a monthly subscription for a single article.

The feature could also be a boon for media organizations seeking new ways to monetize their content.
